FromSoftware’s Bloodborne is getting an expanded story in the form of a new comic book series set to debut next year. Titan Comics will publish the series, Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep, that focuses on a nameless hunter battling dark creatures in the cursed city of Yharnam.
Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep will be written by Ales Kot (Generation Gone, Zero, Secret Avengers), who says he’s “obsessed” with the PlayStation 4 game. Artist Piotr Kowalski, who has illustrated the Wolfenstein and Dark Souls books for Titan, will contribute art for Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep. A peek at Kowalski’s art can be seen in the cover to the series’ first issue below.
“Bloodborne is one of my all-time favorite games,” Kot said in a press release. “I put close to two hundred hours into playing it and researching its universe, and that was before I even knew there would be a comic — I was obsessed. I am honored to be working within the Bloodborne universe …”
Issue #1 of Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep is scheduled to hit comic stores and digital devices in February 2018.
