Cadence of Hyrule, the rhythm game that combines Crypt of the Necrodancer gameplay with The Legend of Zelda’s look and tunes, is coming to Nintendo Switch sometime in June. That release window and a new sneak peek at the game comes from Nintendo of Japan’s YouTube channel.
There’s about a minute of gameplay in this new footage, including Link and Zelda battling Moblins, Darknuts, and other monsters in rhythmic combat. We get a look at the vast array of tools, weapons, spells, and musical instruments available in Cadence of Hyrule, some of which carry over from Crypt of the NecroDancer. And just as important, we get a look at a fantastic boss monster: It’s a Ghoma with maracas.
Link and Zelda’s new rhythm action game, which carries the full, unwieldy name Cadence of Hyrule – Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring the Legend of Zelda, is being developed by Brace Yourself Games and published by Nintendo.
