A new, red-and-blue Mario-themed Nintendo Switch bundle will be available in stores beginning Feb. 12, Nintendo announced Tuesday morning. The Mario Red & Blue Edition includes a carrying case and screen protector, in addition to the standard hardware.
The unit will retail for $299.99 at launch. Nintendo announced it this morning alongside Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury for the Switch, which also launches Feb. 12.
The bundle is the first new color for the Nintendo Switch system itself since the unit launched in March 2017 (though there have been special edition Joy-Cons and docks for events like the Animal Crossing: New Horizons launch). The Mario Red & Blue Edition Switch features red Joy-Cons, a red dock, and a red border around the Switch screen, with blue accents on the Joy Con controller straps and the controller grip. The carrying case is red, rimmed in blue.
Nintendo’s official color customizations for its console hardware have come mainly in the form of new Joy-Cons over the past four years. There are nine different color combinations on the controllers currently available.
