Neko Atsume, the adorable cat collecting game (its name means “Cat Collection: Kitty Collector” actually) will be getting a PlayStation VR release. No idea how VR will expand the world of cat collection beyond what has already been accomplished on mobile, but it has to be a good thing, right?
All PlayStation Japan provided was this title screen in a Tweet early this morning stateside.

The tweet does not reference any Western availability for this virtual reality exploration of hoarding felines. Neko Atsume was localized in English back in 2015 after months of Western fans downloading and playing the Japanese version. The purpose of the game is to lure stray cats into your yard with gifts. If successful, they give you sardines, which are currency to buy more prizes to lure more cats.
The game has been so successful it’s getting a live-action flick. When last we heard, it was due for a spring premiere, but there was no word on whether it would come to the West.
