Rockstar news: Red Dead Redemption 2 update, Nintendo Switch games reveal

Spread the word!

The Red Dead Redemption 2 release has been pushed back until 2018 for PS4 fans, but there’s still a lot of working going on behind the scenes.

The latest reports indicate that developers Rockstar Games are gathering new information before launching their marketing campaign for RDR2.

Fans allege that they have found a new online survey, asking questions on the Red Dead Redemption 2 release.

None of these give anything away about what will be included in the much anticipated title but do seem to point to Rockstar getting ready for more potential advertising.

While it’s unlikely that RDR2 will need a wealth of advertising before its Spring release, it appears Rockstar are currently gauging how much hype surrounds it.

Some of the survey questions include: “How much communication have you seen or heard about Red Dead Redemption 2?” and “How likely are you to purchase Red Dead Redemption 2?”.

As with anything that pops up online, it’ll be worth taking this latest info with a pinch of salt.

Rockstar Games are renowned for not needing a lot of marketing as there games are usually already very well-known.

Fans will be hoping to find out more about the project before the end of the year, with much still unknown about the upcoming console exclusive.

Rockstar have announced their first game coming to the Nintendo Switch games list will be LA Noire.

The action adventure title has been given a November 14 release date on the hybrid console and will ship with various upgrades.

The Nintendo Switch port will contain the original game and DLC, plus new control schemes.

“L.A. Noire for the Nintendo Switch features the complete original game and all additional downloadable content,” Rockstar explains.

“With specific enhancements including a Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble and new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work.”

But while LA Noire is coming to the Nintendo Switch games list, it will also cost more than on PS4 and Xbox One.

It’s now been confirmed that the physical release of LA Noire on the hybrid console will be higher than on rival devices.

The price is currently at $49.99 on the Switch shelf release, around $10 higher than PS4 and Xbox One.

The reason for this is down to the Switch’s added costs when it comes to manufacturing the game cards.

Past launches have suggested that if a game is launching as both physical and digital releases, both platforms will cost the same.

However, if a game is launched as digital-only, publishers can usually get around the added costs.
