Sega’s Mega Drive Mini is due to launch this September with 40 retro classics ready loaded aboard. Today, we know the identity of 10 more.
Joining previously-announced big hitters like Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast and Ecco the Dolphin are:
- Mega Man: The Willy Wars
- Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition
- Sonic Spinball
- Phantasy Star 4
- Beyond Oasis
- Ghouls ‘N Ghosts
- Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
- Golden Axe
- Vectorman
- Wonder Boy in Monster World
Sega first announced its Mega Drive – or Genesis, if you prefer – microconsole back in March, following in the footsteps of similar retro-themed mini consoles from Nintendo and PlayStation.
Intrigued? It’ll cost £70/€80 when it arrives on 19th September. Included in the box are two USB controllers. If you live in North America you’ll also get a power adapter.
A month later, Sega detailed a second set of 10 games included on the console. Presumably we’ll get the final 10 in the run-up to its release.
