Publisher Dark Horse is bringing Nintendo’s The Art of Super Mario Odyssey artbook to North America this October. The 368-page hardcover book is packed with concept art, early sketches, marketing materials, and design insights from the development team.
The book was first released in Japan in September 2018 and made a splash at the time, in part because it offered a peek at Nintendo’s own version of “Bowsette,” the Princess Peach/Bowser hybrid. That’s one of many ideas that didn’t make it into Super Mario Odyssey itself, which the book is flush with.

The Art of Super Mario Odyssey will go on sale Oct. 22, and is available for pre-order at retailers like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and TFAW with a list price of $49.99.
