After years of waiting, the first trailer for Pixar’s The Incredibles 2, the sequel to one of the best superhero movies ever made, has arrived.
The Incredibles 2 picks up where 2004’s The Incredibles left off. Director Brad Bird confirmed during Disney’s biennial D23 convention in July that Holly Hunter’s Elastigirl would be the focus of the sequel, but the rest of the family will also receive plenty of time on screen.
We also know that Jack-Jack, the youngest member of the Parr family, will finally come into his superpowers; in the clip that played at D23, Jack-Jack used his eyes to project lasers. Since he doesn’t have control over his powers and what he’s using them for, this will lead to a few unfortunate accidents.
The Incredibles 2 was supposed to be released in 2019, but Pixar confirmed last year the movie’s release would be pushed up to June 2018, switching spots with Toy Story 4. Toy Story 4 will now be released on June 21, 2019.
The Incredibles 2 will hit theaters on June 15, 2018.
